Dismantling of Tank T071, at Navigator Facilities

As part of a project to install new tanks, Ambigroup was awarded the dismantling of a carbon steel tank covered in stainless steel on the inside, with a mechanical lining and mineral wool insulation on the outside. This tank was used to store white liquor, a very corrosive product.

The main objective was to carry out dismantling operations under safe conditions, taking into account that it was located next to other tanks, equipment and infrastructure in service, and in the vicinity of the lime kilns, where temperatures were quite high. The operations were meticulously planned and executed taking these constraints into account.
