Built next to Estrada Marginal, at the entrance to Cascais, the emblematic building with a large vertical volume, spread over 21 floors above ground and stood out from the urban landscape of the town of Cascais.
The Hotel Estoril Sol was opened in 1965 and was considered the largest hotel in the country. It closed its doors in 2003, and after 4 years, its demolition began, to make way for a new luxury housing complex.
Using a vast fleet of equipment and human resources, from the gutting of the building with the removal of valuable and recyclable materials, to the demolition of the robust reinforced concrete structures.
Combined with demolition, we necessarily had the production of waste, and in this specific case, there were many cubic meters of concrete produced, which, after being processed, allowed it to be fully incorporated into the work, contributing to high recycling rates.
